Joshua l. Porter
Professional Engineer, Special Inspector
President
Mr. Porter founded Consult Engineering in 2010 on the simple premise that a company built on the fundamental concepts of engineering, combined with a focus on customer needs and solid ethics, could outperform the profit-above-all philosophy that is so prevalent in business today. Consult has not only succeeded, but has become recognized as one of the premier engineering consulting firms in Southwest Florida. Mr. Porter is the primary expert witness for the company, performing forensic engineering investigations and testimony on over 40 cases. As a native Florida resident and graduate of the University of Central Florida, Mr. Porter also benefits from a lifetime of construction experience which began in his early teens preparing construction drawings for his father’s construction company.
jason Bell
Chief Operating Officer
Senior Project Administrator
Mr. Bell takes the lead in our South office as our Chief Operating Officer. Jason is responsible for Consult’s most prestigious and long-standing clients and has been Building Strong Associations in Naples, Bonita Springs, Ft. Myers, and surrounding areas for almost two decades. He has an extensive background in construction and has overseen many multi-million-dollar projects. His expertise and knowledge of building systems make him indispensable, and his tireless professionalism has turned many clients into customers for life. In addition to managing client relationships, Jason oversees all of Consult’s Project Administration staff. On the weekend, there’s a fair chance Jason is somewhere fishing.
Ben Baird
Chief Training Officer
Senior Project Administrator
Mr. Baird is Consult’s construction expert in the field. As a college graduate with two-plus decades of experience in the building restoration industry, Ben has run large, multi-million-dollar restoration projects both from the perspective of the foreman and a Project Administrator. His insights into materials, scheduling, and construction operations have been instrumental to our clients with larger and more complex projects. Perhaps more so than anyone else in the company, Ben loves being on the job site getting dirty. This expertise led Ben to his current role of Chief Training Officer, working with our field staff to ensure they are equipped with the latest tools and training to make each site visit a benefit to our clients. In his free time Ben heads into the woods.
Andrew Martin
Senior Engineer
Since 2018, Mr. Martin has made a career out of serving the people of SWFL by putting into practice Consult’s mission of communication, education, elevation, and representation. As an Eagle Scout he continues the practice of being prepared, doing a good turn daily, and leaving things better than he found them. Shortly after graduating from FGCU with a Bachelors in Civil Engineering, Andrew found a home at Consult Engineering where he has overseen numerous projects from start to finish. This experience has given Andrew a unique perspective when it comes to restoring existing structures. With engineering as a backdrop and field experience as a forefront, Andrew currently serves as a Senior Engineer and head of the Design Department where he offers design and engineering support to each and every project that Consult takes on. Andrew and his wife of 20+ years have raised their four children in the local community, making SWFL their home. He hopes to help others do the same.
Eric Hart
Senior Engineer
Mr. Hart brings a broad range of leadership, engineering, and project management experience, serving clients and partners in a variety of industrial markets throughout his career. Eric earned Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Engineering at the University of Tulsa. Eric held a corporate, director-level engineering position for many years, and his skill set is well developed across the commercial, technical, and human resource management spectrum. As a Senior Engineer, supporting Consult clients in Lee, Charlotte, and Sarasota counties, Eric’s expertise and experience benefit our customers and business partners alike. A transplant from the Chicago area in 2017, Eric and his wife enjoy the warm Florida weather and meeting new friends in the Punta Gorda community and beyond.
Jude Feingold
Project Engineer
Reserve Specialist
Mr. Feingold Relocated from the northern New York/Montreal area in 2022, and has become an even more integral team member following Florida’s condominium inspection law. With a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from the University of Rochester, and a career comprised of engineering activities in civil, environmental, industrial, manufacturing, and research and development disciplines, Jude’s multidisciplinary background and acute attention to detail make him the ideal person to anchor our Milestone Inspection and SIRS efforts. Now well past the initial inspection deadlines, the sky is the limit for Jude’s contribution to Consult’s project management services. Jude has an entrepreneurial spirit, and enjoys the freedom Florida provides, not to mention the water, nature, and energy.
Victor Acero
Project Engineer
Mr. Acero is a Civil Engineer who began his professional career in Venezuela, where he earned his degree. After moving to the United States, Victor successfully revalidated his engineering degree, demonstrating a commitment to continue his professional path in the engineering and construction industry. During the process, Victor gained valuable hands-on construction experience working as a foreman supervising field operations, coordinating crews, and ensuring projects were completed efficiently and safely. He then transitioned into a drafting engineering role. This experience gave him a unique perspective on both the design and construction aspects of projects. Victor later moved to Southwest Florida, where he served as a Project Manager. His diverse experience eventually led him to join Consult Engineering as a Project Engineer, helping deliver successful outcomes for clients throughout Southwest Florida.
Samuel Burnley
Director of Marketing
Senior Project Administrator
Mr. Burnley is a longtime Southwest Florida resident and graduate of Florida State University. Ironically, Sam got his start in marketing on the developer side for some of the same condominiums that are now Consult Engineering clients. Sam’s background as a writer and photographer translates into deliverable representations of our company’s philosophy and mission, whether on a screen, on paper, or in person. Sam is our FAA-licensed drone pilot providing our aerial capabilities. His training and experience working in the field and in project administration make his knowledge of Consult’s services thorough and practical. Having lived and worked throughout Consult’s operating range, Sam is the traveling face of the company.
Jenifer Muñoz
Office Manager
Mrs. Muñoz is another, somewhat rare, Florida native. Born right here in Charlotte County, Jenifer is a proud Charlotte Tarpon. Jenifer describes herself as both a homebody and crafty. She loves to paint in acrylic and water color, and experiment in other mediums. She also loves to bake and garden. Her daughter is her world. Around the Consult world, Jenifer handles the day-to-day operation of the main office, including our payroll and bookkeeping. Her previous work in the real estate and property management fields made her an easy choice for interacting with our community association clients. The smile on her face and in her voice makes Jenifer a great first impression of Consult Engineering.
